What should be the preference order for JoSAA?

Josaa will ignore that choice if you are not able to get it. Always fill the choice in the order of you preference. Never fill an less preferred choice above and more preferred choice below. Never fill that seat at first position which you can easily get in first round.

Does preference order matter in JoSAA?

This preference order is only as suggestion to you. You should change your colleges preference order according to your priority and interest in colleges and branches, after that you must fill your colleges in JOSAA counselling.

Can we change preference order in JoSAA?

Can I participate in Csab without participating in JoSAA?

Yes you can participate in CSAB counselling without participating in JoSAA counselling. Central Seat Allocation Board will be conducting CSAB 2021 to provide admissions into the participating institutes (IIITs, NITs, and GFTIs) on the basis of JEE Main scores.

Which is better JoSAA or CSAB?

The basic difference is that once JoSAA completes its process of admissions for IITs, NITs and other colleges, CSAB conducts some special rounds(generally 2 rounds) to fill up the vacant seats of NITs, IIITs and other colleges (not for IITs).

What if I dont get a seat in CSAB?

If a student didn’t get his/her seat in CSAB round then the registration fees will be refunded by the following rules: Candidates who chose to withdraw allotted seat in JoSAA counselling and do not want to participate in the special round are entitled for the refund of seat allotment fee with a deduction of Rs. 1, 200.

What is choice filling in JoSAA?
