We may not find beauty in certain pieces of art that everyone else may like. For example, while a painting such as Picasso’s Seated Bather is considered art, I do not see it as beautiful. I can respect it as a work of art in general, but it does not speak to me, nor do I find it to be beautiful.

Just because something is considered art, does not necessarily that we as an individual consider it art for ourselves. We may not find beauty in certain pieces of art that everyone else may like. Describe your artwork as if you were talking to someone who couldn’t see it. Pretend the average person is blind. They can’t see anything. Not even shadows. Just because they’re blind doesn’t mean they can’t use their four other senses to feel your artwork.
