Batman has dealt with gun-wielding foes before, but would he be able to beat “The Punisher” Frank Castle in a Marvel vs DC fight? The answer to this was always obvious. Batman wipes the floor with the Punisher. Just the one, though, and it’s made very clear that Batman could take him down without breaking a sweat.

@XMen1963: Punisher might be competent at H2H range, but he’s no where near Batman’s level. I don’t think I’ve ever heard of Punisher taking out a viable threat without a gun, and even if he ever did, H2H is what Batman primarily does.

After a point, the two met for a one-on-one showdown in which Tony tried to confiscate the armor. In actuality though, Punisher was able to beat out Iron Man. It wasn’t until James Rhodes, the original War Machine, showed up that Frank actually conceded the armor.
