Did Ezra always save Ahsoka?

When Ezra saved Ahsoka, he forked reality, creating an alternate reality where Ahsoka lives and he saved her. In the other reality, Ahsoka died. Per a Looper-style time travel however, the answer would be no. Ezra always saved Ahsoka and it was always going to happen.

Why was Ezra able to save Ahsoka?

Essentially, Ezra removes Ahsoka from the timeline at the very moment she likely would have died, saving her life. This leads Ezra to believe that he can also save Kanan’s life, running towards a portal from which he can hear his dead master’s voice.

Can Ezra save Kanan?

After rescuing long-lost Force-warrior Ahsoka into the space-time continuum, Ezra is convinced he can save Kanan, but alas, has to let Kanan go or create a time paradox (it’s also ambiguous whether the portal was real in the first place). How did Ezra go back in time?

Inside of the Jedi temple and using the Force as his guide, Ezra’s granted access to a mysterious time portal, with the ability to travel back in time. He uses the new resource to rescue Ahsoka Tano from the death blow of Darth Vader, bringing her to the present age.
