Yes, Switzerland can be very expensive. When you first arrive, expect to pay insane amounts of cash for groceries and going out. However, when you get to know your neighbourhood, you’ll soon discover ways around it. Some families I know lived across the border in France where rental prices were lower and commuted to Switzerland.
