Does our faith make things happen?

Does our faith make things happen?

But make no mistake. Even a cursory reading of scripture makes it clear that faith is what makes things happen. Of course it was none other than Martin Luther in the early 16th century, who stumbled upon the words penned by the Apostle Paul in Romans 1.17: “the righteous will live by faith.” Live by faith.

Can God do impossible?

“For nothing will be impossible with God,” the angel had declared. (Based on Luke 1:26-37). As Mary pondered these words so long ago, we, too, can feel the wonder of their promise: Nothing is impossible with God. Nothing.

What is faith and why does it matter?

Faith gives you strength: the inner resolve to withstand turmoil. The writer of Psalm 138 says of God, “In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul.” When we are right with God, we never go into turmoil alone. We have the Creator of the Universe on our side.

Will your faith get you through a difficult situation?

No matter what the situation is, no matter how bad or dire you think it might seem, your faith can and will get you through it. You must accept that as fact, and hold on to the expectation of greater things to come. Don’t stop pushing or searching for an answer to help resolve whatever situation you might be facing in your life.

How does faith change the way we think?

When we allow the reality of the Gospel to affect every part of our lives, it changes the way we think which changes how we behave. Faith causes us to act on what we haven’t experienced yet, to believe promises in the Bible that haven’t been fulfilled yet, and to trust God when our situations haven’t changed yet.

What would happen to a person without faith?

For a person without faith is likened to a stream without water — they would cease to exist. Going through life and all of its ups and downs can take a toll on us. At times, it’s enough to question our very existence. But through all of the trials and tribulations we might face, it’s faith that gives us that helping hand.
