No, this is basically shoving. While this is a clever idea, this isn’t something that you can do with mage hand. The spell limits your interactions with (emphasis mine): You can use your action to control the hand.

Therefore with mage hand’s 10 pound limit it would not be able to.

If your DM allows you to use Mage Hand to remotely trigger traps that you find while exploring then there is no reason for them to disallow triggering your own trap the same way.
