The Bible teaches that “faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see” (Hebrews 11:1). So faith is being certain about realities we believe are true but we cannot see with our physical eyes. God’s Word also says that “without faith it is impossible to please God…” (Hebrews 11:6).

Why is it important to have faith?

Why Faith Is Important. Faith speaks the language of the heart. Faith is an expression of hope for something better. More than a wish, it is closer to a belief, but not quite. A belief is rooted in the mind. Faith is based in the heart. We act in faith when there is no guarantee, no certainty.

How can I live by faith in my everyday life?

Learning to live by faith in our everyday lives start with understanding the source of our fears: we haven’t learned to trust God yet (Mark 4:40-41 TPT). It seems very simple and yet extremely difficult at the same time. To learn to trust God, we first need to identify what are we put our trust in instead.

How does faith change the way we think?

When we allow the reality of the Gospel to affect every part of our lives, it changes the way we think which changes how we behave. Faith causes us to act on what we haven’t experienced yet, to believe promises in the Bible that haven’t been fulfilled yet, and to trust God when our situations haven’t changed yet.

What is faith based on?

Faith is based in the heart. We act in faith when there is no guarantee, no certainty. No one knows what kind of life an infant will have, yet people continue to have children. No one can know how life with our mates will turn out, yet we continue to have faith our relationships will last a lifetime. Faith speaks the language of the heart.
