If you’re completely blind, you see nothing. If you’re partially blind, you might experience the following symptoms: cloudy vision. an inability to see shapes.

What do you actually see when your blind?

A person with total blindness won’t be able to see anything. But a person with low vision may be able to see not only light, but colors and shapes too. However, they may have trouble reading street signs, recognizing faces, or matching colors to each other. If you have low vision, your vision may be unclear or hazy.

Do you forget what things look like when you go blind?

As they grow older year by year their brain will forget how things look and the images will become more and more distorted as time goes on they will forget things like certain colours and shapes or how a certain animal looks. So the answer is yes they still dream.

  2. Learn Braille and Orientation & mobility.
  3. Start learning how to cook and clean without sight.
  4. Start labeling your clothes.

While there are some people who go blind overnight or in a matter of days, such as with detached retinas, following eye surgeries, or with certain types of glaucoma, the vast majority of people with degenerative diseases such as retinitis pigmentosa and macular degeneration, lose their sight gradually, over a period of many years.

Do you have bad or good vision days?

We can have “bad” and “good” vision days. Sometimes it depends on how sunny or cloudy it is outside. Other times it depends on eye strain, the time of day, lighting inside vs. outside, and even how many trees or landscaping are around casting shadows, causing my eyes to play lots and lots of tricks on me.
