People try to act like fools either to hide personal cleverness or to make fool of others. Some people pretend to be unaware of current happenings and then try to take your opinion about them just to judge your perception.

If any of you think that you are wise by this world’s standards, you should become a fool, in order to be really wise. Don’t deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise in the ways of this world, you should give up that wisdom in order to become really wise.
