How do I get a full scholarship to NYU?

To be eligible for all scholarships at NYU, students are required to complete all required financial aid forms by the deadlines. At the very least, this means completing a CSS Profile regardless of citizenship. This means international students who want to be considered for scholarships must complete the CSS Profile.

To be considered for admission, applicants must submit one of the following items:

  1. SAT score.
  2. ACT score.
  3. IB diploma.
  4. 3 SAT Subject Test scores.
  5. 3 AP exam scores.
  6. 3 IB higher-level exam scores (if IB diploma not earned)
  7. Other international examination (many different options can be approved by NYU)

What happens if I win a scholarship?

Once you have won a scholarship, you are required to report it to the college you plan to attend. The school then reassesses the financial aid package. Basically, when a student wins a scholarship, they become less “needy,” which means they do not need as much financial aid.

Does NYU give merit?

Selected students are awarded scholarships based on this need and merit evaluation process. The majority of scholarships at NYU, however, are awarded utilizing a model where financial need is obtained from the CSS Profile and, if applicable (for U.S. Citizens, permanent residents, and eligible non-citizens), the FAFSA.
