How long does it take to enter Express Entry pool?

Express Entry can take as little as six months to process, from submission of the Express Entry profile to the issuance of a permanent resident visa. However, not all cases will proceed this quickly. Your Express Entry profile will remain active in the pool of candidates for 12 months if you are not invited to apply.

How long does it take to update Express Entry profile?

Please Note: If you make any changes that affect your eligibility or your Comprehensive ranking system (CRS), the Express Entry system will update your profile to reflect these changes within 24 hours.

How long does it take to get invitation for Express Entry?

IRCC regularly issues draws for Express Entry applicants. If you are highly ranked, you can expect to receive an ITA within a matter of days to a few weeks. If you are not selected right away, your profile will remain active in the Express Entry pool for 12 months.

What happens after Express Entry profile is created?

Once your profile is submitted and deemed eligible, you will be automatically given a score under the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) based on the information provided when you created your Express Entry profile. The second criteria used to issue ITAs is the Comprehensive Ranking System Score.

Is payslip mandatory for Express Entry?

IRCC does ask to provide last three months’ payslips from each company that you have shown in Express Entry. All the documents that IRCC asks is compulsory. If you don’t have all three but have say two, then you have to write a letter explaining why you can’t give all the documents.

If you are interested in the Federal Skilled Worker stream, you will need to meet, at minimum, the pass mark of 67 points out of 100 on the Federal Skilled Worker grid. If you are accepted into the Express Entry pool, you are not guaranteed to receive an Invitation to Apply for permanent residence.

Why is my Express Entry application taking so long?
