If all Viking armies (or even one Army of any Viking nation) went to war with Sparta, they would easily win. The Vikings have hundreds of years of technology above Sparta but here are other reasons to look at: Sparta could not field massive armies.

It is possible that a pro-Spartan fan edited the article. If it did happen, it most likely would have been a defeat of a Visigoth “exploratory” force, well in advance of the main army. Remember, 4th century Sparta was a far cry from Leonidas at Thermopylae.
